5 Good picks but 4 bad picks sums up my last gameweek. I was able to swap Alfie May who was on the bench for Michael Cheek but I had lost signal and could not swap Jordan Willis for Elewere who would go on to score 18 points.
Huddersfield were terrible and Balker came off injured whilst Colwill had the assist of the assist in game one before being benched in game two. But Walker, Ward, Gale, Cheek and Bradford all returned double figure returns.
As always my league is here.

This week is a League One and League Two double so I’m focussing there whilst the Championship is split for the FA Cup participants so the games take place across the whole week.
Goalkeeper
Sam Walker, Bradford City
vs Salford City, away
vs Cheltenham Town, home
I’m sticking on Walker this week, basically everything I said last week here can be said this week, but add two more clean sheets to that.
Salford have a threat up front, especially with Adelakun but they have just one win in 8. Cheltenham put 3 past Newport in their last away game but had failed to score in the 4 away games prior.
Defenders
Connor Hall, Port Vale
vs Tranmere Rovers, away
vs Harrogate Town, home
Connor Hall’s 6.2 point average on the season is strong and his 209 clearances in 29 games does stand out. But so do the match ups this week. Port Vale have conceded the 7th fewest goals in the league this season and recently kept Notts County at bay, whilst they are facing the leagues lowest and 3rd lowest scorers.
Tranmere have found the net just 23 times in 33 games, at home it’s just 13 in 17 and they failed to score past Accrington - the side with the 3rd most goals conceded this season - in their last home game.
Harrogate meanwhile have scored just 3 more times in their 33 games, away from home it’s 13 in 17 for them. Only 3 sides have worse attacking output away from home. So the focus here is clean sheets. There’s a shout here that maybe Port Vale keeper and Bradford defender is the way to go but I’m going this way.
Ryan Johnson, AFC Wimbledon
vs Bromley, home
vs Morecambe, away
Sorry to do this again… everything I said here still stands but add a 14 point and 5 point game to it - a 9.5 point average which exceeds the already high point tallies I had been talking about him getting.
It’s just 9 goals conceded in 16 at home for The Dons, with 10 clean sheets in that time too. Bromley have enough of an attacking threat to give Johnson the chance at bonus points whilst away from home it’s just 2 goals conceded in 5 whilst Morecambe have failed to score in their last 2 games.
Midfielders
Antoni Sarcevic, Bradford City
vs Salford City, away
vs Cheltenham Town, home
In Gameweek 25 I suggested Sarcevic - he scored, got 3 assists, an interception and 5 key passes over 2 games. Since then he’s made 5 starts, scored 3 goals, made 5 interceptions as he averaged 8 points in those 5 starts to continue his form. He’s back in for me here in this double gameweek and I’m backing him to have chances to add to his 5 goals and 6 assists this season.
Salford have conceded 6 goals in their last 4 home games with only Tranmere’s blunt attack failing to score past them, whilst Cheltenham’s away record puts them in the lower third of the league, conceding 22 in 15 games.
Liam Fraser, Crawley Town
vs Cambridge United, home
vs Lincoln City, away
This may be small sample size bias but Fraser has played 225 minutes for Crawley and made 7 interceptions - 2.8 per 90. He also created 2.4 chances per 90 for a Crawley side who you feel could score a handful at any moment but equally be frustrating.
The directness of Cambridge will lean into both sides of that game for Fraser, a high interception number could be in play as could someone turning a chance into a goal and hence a Fraser assist.
Lincoln is a game where result doesn’t matter, Fraser has picked up 9 points in both of his last 2 games thanks to interceptions and key passes and I’m looking for that to stay here.
Charlie Webster, Burton Albion
vs Mansfield Town, home
vs Wycombe Wanderers, away
Recency bias again here but I’m looking to capitalise on form and currently Webster, along with Fraser, is 0% selected. Webster’s last 2 games are as follows - 2 interceptions and the sole goal in a 1-0 win. 12 and 13 point returns has him high on my radar for a Burton side who look so much more stubborn and direct than they did earlier in the season. They are hard to beat under Bowyer and Webster is key to their system right now.
Burrell was the first to benefit in this system but now Webster is too, he has a goal every 4 90 minutes played. He takes 1.52 shots per 90, that may seem low but Burton are not high shot takers so it ranks pretty high in the squad. 1.08 interceptions is also good here too, there is potential on both sides of the ball.
I’m not too focussed on opponents here though I can see this playing into our hands too, Mansfield have picked up 1 point in 9 games and a Burton win would move them 3 behind their opponents whilst Wycombe could well lean into the interception game but they also don’t feel as strong right now as they did earlier in the season.
Forwards
Niall Ennis, Blackpool
vs Stockport County, away
vs Peterborough United, home
4 goals in 5 games at Blackpool for Niall Ennis has me moving towards him. Though the stats underneath also look great. It’s more than a goal every 90 minutes at 1.14 per 90 from 2.85 shots. He scored twice last weekend and looks to be cementing his place in a competitive attack. He has pedigree att his level already.
Stockport is the tricky game here but Cambridge did put 2 past them last weekend and their 2 clean sheets at home in their last 6 games both came against teams currently in the bottom 3. Blackpool have only failed to score in 2 away games this season.
Then Peterborough are next, a side who would be playing their 3rd game in 7 days following a Wednesday night EFL Trophy win. A tired side who have conceded the joint most goals in the league, I would fancy Ennis here.
Teams to win
Port Vale
vs Tranmere Rovers, away
vs Harrogate Town, home
Sorry to copy and paste from above but the Hall reasoning comes in here:
Port Vale have conceded the 7th fewest goals in the league this season and recently kept Notts County at bay, whilst they are facing the leagues lowest and 3rd lowest scorers.
Tranmere have found the net just 23 times in 33 games, at home it’s just 13 in 17 and they failed to score past Accrington - the side with the 3rd most goals conceded this season - in their last home game.
Harrogate meanwhile have scored just 3 more times in their 33 games, away from home it’s 13 in 17 for them. Only 3 sides have worse attacking output away from home.
Vale as well are unbeaten in the league in 2025, with 5 wins from 8.
AFC Wimbledon
vs Bromley, home
vs Morecambe, away
It’s just 9 goals conceded in 16 at home for The Dons, with 10 clean sheets in that time too. Whilst away from home it’s just 2 goals conceded in 5 whilst Morecambe have failed to score in their last 2 games.
Wimbledon’s defence is terrific and it does set them up to win games to nil. They have won 5 in a row at home and whilst they have come unstuck away from home, drawing 5 in a row, they have 4 wins from 6 away from home against the current bottom 9. So they should be too good for Morecambe too.
So that’s how the team looks right now.
